  • Annual day marks at another milestone of another academic year. This year had been equally bountiful and lovely for us. I consider it a tremendous honour to present our St. Anthony's school Annual report for the Academic year 2023-2024.

    ABOUT OUR SCHOOL:

  • St. Anthony's, the next generation CBSE School, under the umbrella of the Jeppiaar Institute of Technology Kunnam, Sunguvarchatram, Sriperumbudur came into being on 01st of June 2021 with 65 Students and 7 teachers with the clear vision of providing educational experience with a difference and grooming young children to be responsible Leaders and sensitive citizens of the world.
  • Our school aims at moulding the next generation to be ready for the competitive world.
  • The main goal of St. Anthony's school is overall development of the child.
  • The faculty uses various strategies, diverse techniques and guidelines to encourage each student to be the best
  • The children are encouraged to express themselves without fear and to evolve to their fullest potential.
  • St. Anthony's school has spent 3 years Successfully completing its quest for greatness. A rose doesn't invite anyone to enjoy its beauty but it's natural pleasant fragrance attracts people to it.

  • Currently we have 255 students including 147 boys and 108 girls with committed teachers and up to 23 non - teaching employees
  • When we look back at the past year, there is a satisfying feeling of sustainability in Academics
  • We have a ton of positive news and stories to share after a fantastic year together with our teachers. Our students have excelled both in academics and extra curricular pursuits. Let me give you a bird's eye view of this academic year events and activities.
  • Academics

  • Academics is the core focus of our School. All the possible efforts have been taken and we will continue to take, to ensure academic excellence in our school. we believe that excellence in academics is the hall mark of our school as a good institution
  • The child's academic performance is measured in a series of Formative and Summative examinations with a lot of emphasis on Learning through doing process
  • 27 students received the 5 star certificate for their excellent performance in their term exams.
  • Remedial classes are conducted for the Students who need special attention.
  • To bring out the dormant talents in our Students, competitions like pencil shading, Drawing and painting, Essay writing, singing, Recitation, Elocution, Dance, Fancy dress, Clay modelling, Pot painting, Best out of waste etc. were conducted during the course of the year.
  • Students are eagerly learning their lessons combined with the co-curricular activities which are framed in such a way, to bring up a complete person in each of our student.
  • To promote the competitive spirit and to bring out the talent of the students, they are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activities.
  • Every Tuesday & Thursday, CCA classes are conducted. Students are given the opportunity to learn Music, Classical dance, Chess, Karate & Silambam.
  • Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and Persistence.
  • Moving on from Academics to co-curricular activities at the interschool level, we all know the creativity involves, breaking out of established pattern in order to look at things in a different way- Students at a goal were no less creative than other.
  • Now moving on from co-curricular activities to sports, we at go lay pull emphasize on Physical development by providing them the best sports facilities and professional coaches in various games like football, skating etc.

  • We have started our football academy on 13th of September. 10 of our SAS Students are taking their efforts day by day to achieve in future
  • Athletic::

  • Our Students participated in Tamil Nadu interschool athletic championship-2023 in Batalion Ground, Avadi on 9th Sep 2023.85 Students participated and got award for placing second and received overall Championship.
  • Kushali of Grade-I has got second place and won medal in 50m Running.
  • Sanders of SKG-B placed second in 50m Running.
  • Sanjay & Dhananjai of SKG - placed second in 50 m Running.

    SKATING:

  • Our Skaters gave Fabulous performance in skating.
  • On 22nd Oct 2023, our children participated in District competition held in Kanchipuram through Kanchi cluster Academy and won the following places.

  • Joanish of Grade V- Gold medal
  • V.S Lochana of Grade III- Gold medal
  • Sanjana of Grade VI- Gold medal
  • Vinaypriyan of Grade V - Gold medal
  • Jessica Princy of Grade III - Bronze medal
  • SILAMBAM: :

  • On the same day silambam Competition was held and children received Certificates.
  • KARATE: :

  • With the great efforts of our Karate Master, our Students received medals on August 12th and October 29th 2023.

  • Harish & Ragul & Akilan of Grade-VII won medal.
  • MUSICAL CLASS :

  • Our SAS music troop has show-casted in our school choir. This is achieved by the good training of our music master.
  • DANCE CLASS :

  • Our classical dance teacher has given training to our students in Bharatanatyam.
  • MATHEMATICS :

  • Our children participated in Great Ramanujar competition in Mathematics held in Sedhu Bhaskara matric Hr.Sec. School in Ambattur and received prizes.

    Events

    SUMMER CAMP:

  • Summer Camp was indeed a special Occassion to all the students, because many students from outside schools accompained our Students. They learnt many new things like Yoga, meditation Especially in sports like football. All the children enjoyed the camp. With endless joy, laughter and success They all wait for an another opportunity to enjoy again in the future.
  • World Environment Day :-

  • On 05th of June 2023, we Celebrated world Environment day under the theme 'Avoid plastics' many students participated in the event and so many children won the prizes that was an environment awareness day for all.
  • Anthony's F Feast :

  • We celebrated our patron St. Anthony's feast on June 13. We conducted special assembly and novena prayer.
  • Red day:

  • To celebrate the Joy of colors, we used to celebrate color day every month. June 30th KG department celebrated "Red day". Our kids came in red dress. Our classroom was completely Changed into red. Everywhere red. Students enjoyed and learned our first primary color "Red" from various fun activities. They have taken photos with our KG department teachers.
  • Visit to Ezhilvanam:

  • Its everyone's responsibility to protect our environment. In order to inculcate the habit of planting trees among us.
  • We Anthonians from Grade V to VII went on an one day trip on July 5th to Ezhilvanam. It is a urban forest project by Aram, which was started in August 2019. Volunteers in Aram conducted various games and students were taken to walk to experience the forest atmosphere. They gave certificates too.
  • Paper bag day :

  • Paper bags are recyclable, making them a more environmentally friendly option than plastic bags.
  • Paper bag day is celebrated on July 12 in our school campus. Our students from JKG to Grade II std created awareness by dressing themselves with paper and prepared various model paper bags. It helped us to learn "avoid plastic Covers"
  • Kamaraj birthday celebration :

  • Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world. Mr. Kamarajar the King maker of Indian politics had taken such a weapon to bring above a positive change in the society. So we celebrated his birthday as Education development day.We conducted various competitions like essay writing, elocution, decorating Kamarajar picture and students sang a song about Kamarajar. Students performed well and they won prizes.
  • Morning Assemblies : Assemblies :

  • Morning assemblies are all about scholars and mentors coming together to start the day. Assemblies are an important feature of a school's routine. They form a significant part of the school's curriculum by creating a positive, reflective ethos and promoting value-based education.
  • They powerfully nurture the development of intrapersonal intelligence. Each class takes turn to present assembly based on a theme identified for the week.
  • Blue day:

  • We celebrated blue day on 28th July. We decorated our class rooms with blue color things. “Blue is bright and gives us hope for future” – Didicam .
  • Green day :

  • Green is the color of life, nature and energy. Students celebrated Green day on 31st October. Students did art activity on that day. We prepared a tree using lady's finger dipped in green paint. It was amazing we enjoyed a lot.
  • Independence day :

  • We celebrated our Nation's Independence day on 15th August. Dr. L.M Merlin Livingston hoisted our national flag. We exhibited our talents through various cultural programmes Grade IV and Grade VI won the prizes in Culturals. Prizes were distributed. We felt honour and proud to be an Indian.
  • Teacher’s day :

  • We honoured our teachers on September 5. “Knowledge is the greatest gift and a guru is the greatest provider”.
  • We conducted various games for our guru's. They became a children and they enjoyed their day. We planned cultural events for our teacher’s and they enjoyed a lot.
  • Yellow day celebration :

  • Yellow symbolize happy, energetic and hopeful. We wore yellow color dress and we decorated our class rooms with yellow balloons and yellow color things. We prepared crafts using yellow paper and we displayed it in our class room. It was a very Joyful day for us.
  • Diwali and Children's day :

  • This year we celebrated Diwali and Children's day together. On which our Chairman Sir Dr. N. Marie Wilson presided over the function. We danced, we sang Diwali song and we enacted the safety measures to follow when bursting Crackers. This created awareness among children. Teachers performed cultures to entertain us. Our Chairman sir gave Children's day gifts for us.
  • After programme we bursted crackers in our school campus with the guidance of teachers and college staffs. It was so colorful we were very happy on that day.
  • Investiture Ceremony :

  • Our school office bearers were officially sworn in a very impressive investiture ceremony. The school cabinet was lead by our Head Boy Master L.V. Mervin of Grade VII & Assistant Head girl Miss. Abinaya of trade VII. Master Vishwa of grade VI selected as Cleanliness leader and Miss. Tanya Andrina of Grade VI, as the discipline leader.
  • Christmas celebration :

  • We celebrated our birth of Jesus Christ on 23rd December in our school.We prepared a huge crib - Dr. M. Suresh principal of Jeppiaar institute of technology and Mr. Madhusuthanan dean of Jeppiaar institute of technology were the chief guests of that function.
  • We performed two dances one from lower primary and another one from upper primary. We enacted the Nativity play.We sang carols on that day a cake to celebrate that day.Santa claus arrived and he gave sweets for us we enjoyed that day.
  • Science-Math Exhibition :

  • On December, St. Anthony's school proudly hosted its annual Science and Math Expo, a vibrant event aimed at fostering a love for STEM subjects among students and showcasing their innovative projects. The expo was resounding success, bringing together young minds, educators and community members in a celebration of Scientific and Mathematical exploration.
  • Scouts and Guides Inauguration :

  • On January 8th, St Anthony's school conducted a grand inauguration ceremony to launch its new Scouts and Guides program. The Members from Bharat Scouts and Guides were invited followed by Dr. N. Marie Wilson who was the chief guest of the program. The aim of the program is to initiate leadership, teamwork and outdoor skills among students, providing them with opportunities for personal growth and community service.
  • Pongal Celebration :

  • Pongal is an agricultural festival that brings happiness and enthusiasm. Rangoli designs were made by each class. Our helping Staff and few students made sweet Pongal and added flavor to the celebration.
  • Republic day :

  • Patriotism is an essential aspect of learning during the school days. Our staff and students joined the republic day celebration along with the teachers. We distributed the sweets among ourselves and enjoyed the day.
  • Gardening :

  • In today's world of technology, it is important to relate ourselves with nature. Nature teaches us the best lessons. Nature heals us. Nature touches our soul and helps us relate with our creator. We the Anthonians were taught to dig the soil, to plant Saplings and to witness the growth of plants in our campus.
  • Conclusion :

    • Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.
    • As the Principal of the school, I feel honoured and privileged to be a part of this educational institution where everyday is an opportunity to learn and discover.
    • I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to strive to understand and improve the educational process using team strategies, while wholly Centering on student achievement.
